Our ninth annual golf tournament will be held at Manderley on the Green Monday, August 14 starting at noon. Once again, proceeds will go to Wounded Warriors Canada’s investment in elite service dog programs to assist soldiers suffering from PTSD.

We’re very happy to announce that the Variety Show raised $3,385 for Plan Canada’s sanitation project in Tanzania. That translates to $20,070 for the project after matching. Thank you to all our performers, donors and attendees! We could not do any of this without you.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 8th Annual Keep On Climbing Golf Tournament for Wounded Warriors. It was a great day! We raised $5,400, which is $2,000 more than last year. We will make a small donation to local service dog trainers, Canadian Canine, and the remainder will go to Wounded Warriors Canada. Since 2008, with the help of people like of all the people involved and matching of funds by the federal government in some cases, our events for various charities have raised almost $170,000.
None of this would be possible without the participation of the golfers, volunteers, sponsors, donors and those who were with us in spirit. We are profoundly grateful for the support.
Every once in awhile, I’m reminded about how something we do or say can inspire others, even though we don’t know it’s happening. If we are really fortunate, we will find out and it’s an incredibly satisfying moment.
I received a Tweet from a young lady in Virginia today who told me that she was inspired enough by my slogan to have an excerpt tattooed on her arm. I am truly honoured.
